Established businesses in the region have been slowly making steps to bring their workforce strategies in line with global practices in the last few years as their economic positions have matured to a level rivaling their American and European counterparts. The recent and current challenges faced by Hong Kong and the rest of the region have provided an opportunity to implement long delayed initiatives and improvements to the ‘traditional’ culture of work in Asia.
